MY PROFILE
I am native of Eastern NC great love for music. I grew up listening to my mother 45 records and watching American Band Stand and Soul Train. My real journey with music began in middle school , where I started playing the saxphone in band all the way through high school. Not only can I play the saxaphone, I also played the bass guitar, which I have been playing off and on since i was 16 years old. My love dee-jaying began when hip- hop hit the scene in the 80's. I started off rapping which lead me to become the hype man on the mike at local partys with other dee-jays. What lead me to the love of spinning records was that, one night I was at a party and the dj got drunk and could finish playing. He ask me take over and I was hook. I have been spinning on the 1's and 2's every since.
I have over 15 years of dee-jaying eexoerience. my
dj experience began back in the 80's around different
areas in Eastern NC . I was dee-jaying back in the
days where a dj had to have skills on the 1's and 2's, especially when it came down to blending.Most of my gigs back then was cook house partys, which back in the 80;s was the thing. My dj set up back then was 2 technics belt drive turntables, a dual cassett player, a numark mixer and peavey speakers. My set up as change over the years keeping up with new equipment that came out.
My current set up is a lab top that runs a dj program
called traktor. I also use a traktor z2 mixer with 2 denon sc 3900 digital turntables. The sound is power
by one 2000 watt peavey amp and one 4000 watt
behringer amp. The sound is push through a pair of
peavey dual 15 inch speakers and four 18 inch peavey subs. This set up can bring the thump to any event or party.
